Alice Stallard is an audio visual cross platform artist, VJ Girl in a T-shirt, a qualified art teacher and community art practitioner and programmer. She works independently in the studio and on large scale, community led collaborations in educational and event based settings.
Through process, play and observation, Alice’s work centres on connection and communication. Working between digital and tactile processes, Alice creates and layers found and hand-coloured elements, cuttings, everyday ephemera and sound to create moving audio visual artwork, limited edition prints, mixed media originals and cross platform AV performance.
Alice is currently a recipient of the Norfolk & Norwich Festival Artist bursary 2026 for Clouds Burst When I See You Smile, an audio visual research and development project. In 2025 her project Travelling Light was selected and commissioned by First Light Festival CIC, the Battery of Ideas Place Partnership project and she was a recipient of the a-n The Artists Information Company bursary 2024/25 for creative and professional development. Alice is the Arts and Community coordinator for Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music and collaborates with Noise of Art, an artist's collective. Recent community arts projects have been recognised by Ofsted as adding value to pupils learning and understanding of community and she is a part of the team recognised as Suffolk New College, Creative Industry Partners..
Alice studied art at Brighton University (BA Hons), Norwich School of Art and Design (MFA) and University of London, Goldsmiths (PGCE Art). Her work is held in both national and international private collections. Notable commissions and exhibitions include selection for Travelling Light, a sustainable 3D commission for First Light Festival 2025, Chelsea Arts Club Chelsea Hospital group show, London 2024; AV artworks for Woodbridge Winter Lights, Suffolk 2023; ING Discerning Eye exhibition, The Mall Galleries, London 2022; The Peggy Jean commission for the Daisy Green Collection x Ackerman Studios 2022; 45 Park Lane, London curated by Ackerman Studios 2021; Gate Curate, London commissioned by Gate Theatre, CHELSEA space and Chelsea Arts Club Trust; Winter Pride UK Art Awards, London and Print Club London.
Alice is also a qualified and experienced art teacher and creative practitioner/ facilitator. Initial training began in 2005 with Arts Council England’s Creative Partnerships programme, Artists in Schools, which led to a PGCE in Art from University of London, Goldsmiths, 2008 and running the art department of an independent primary school in North London. Current roles include Chair and Arts and community coordinator for Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music; Felixstowe Love’s Wall of Hearts and Heart Art Trail, 2025: Choose Love and Projections for Peace; 2022/23/24/25: award nominated Fish Friendly Fireworks for Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music (shortlisted for the East Suffolk ‘Green Impact Award’ 2023); Anchors Aweigh! art trail and Summer sessions; Woodbridge Festival Windrush 75 events; occasional lecturer for University of Suffolk. Alice has also enjoyed working with Suffolk Artlink Brave Artists programme for neurodivergent adults; creating art-led early years play sessions for Creative Play Project, Jetty Lane; creating online and download content for Cohere Arts and NHS Creative Space program for patients with long-Covid. Previous clients include: Tate Britain, South Bank Family Centre and Chelsea Arts Club.
